RealNetworks is seeking Software Test Engineers that are ready to immediately contribute to the development of RealNetworks’ Mobile Messaging products, developed and maintained by a world-class, global team in New York and Zagreb. On a daily basis, our STEs will design, develop, perform, and conduct system testing activities throughout the development cycle that will include functional testing, performance testing, and joint vendor testing. STEs participate in certifying our high-performance, real-time platform and related tools working closely with Sr/Lead QA Engineers and the greater development group.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and executing test plans and test cases based on project requirements with some emphasis on using scripts to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation;
Adding to performance testing efforts and improving test frameworks/tools which can involve writing proprietary tools for our software platform; and
Providing expertise, analysis, reporting, and facilitation of QA processes and best practices throughout the SDLC.
STEs should have a degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science/Software Engineering and:
Demonstrated programming skills in Java and/or scripting languages such as Python;
Experience working in databases (SQL/ Oracle/MySQL, etc.);
Familiarity with AWS; and
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment where shifting priorities are the norm.
Experience with automation/performance/load testing and related tools is a big plus.
