SQL Database Administrator - Zagreb

Here is what the first year will be like:

• As a database administrator, you will work in a small, agile team, responsible for Infobip’s complex database.
• Database administrator is responsible for the performance and security of a database. You will also be involved in planning and development of the database as well as troubleshooting any issues. We expect that you take proactive ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

We much rather appreciate the gift for writing high quality code on schedule than knowledge of a certain technology. Our platform is a high performance SOA built on Java EE and Spring with an SQL server as a data layer. Our complementary solutions have their stack of technologies such as Node.js, JavaScript, Python, JFS, C and many more.

Desired skills and experience:

• 1+ years of experience working with relational database design and development, primarily SQL Server (e.g. MS SQL Server).
• Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining database security and data integrity.
• Knowledge of Linux administration and networks is a big plus.
• Interest in gaining experience with NoSQL technologies (Mongo, Redis, Elasticsearch...) is a plus.
• Experience with high-traffic, large-scale systems is a plus.
• Curiosity, talent and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Motivated and proactive candidate with ability to work within the team.
• Education in Computer Science or related studies.
• Fluency in English.
